The Blue Sky Lifestyle

In This Field Note

  • Living closer to the land, from Gracie’s Farm and regenerative agriculture to trails, horses and outdoor wellness.
  • Auberge experiences at your doorstep, including visiting chefs, intimate concerts, wellness experts and one of a kind culinary experiences.
  • A community shaped by shared values, with a love of nature, exceptional food, thoughtful design, wellness and adventure.
  • A different rhythm of mountain living, where luxury is defined as much by access, connection and experience as it is by the home itself.

There are plenty of beautiful homes in beautiful places.
And then there are places that genuinely change the way you want to live.

Life here unfolds across 4,000 acres of open land in the Wasatch Mountains, and before long, the landscape starts to dictate the rhythm of your days. You walk more. You know what is growing at the farm. You recognize the horses at the stables. You know that the seasonal menu is about to change at WildKitchen.

That connection to the land has been part of Blue Sky from the beginning. Long before there was a lodge or the thought of a residential community, owners Mike and Barb Phillips imagined Blue Sky as a place to live closer to the land. Today, that original idea remains the thread connecting every aspect of life at Blue Sky.

At Gracie’s Farm, a female-led team of farmers grows produce using regenerative practices, much of it destined for the culinary program at Blue Sky.  As a homeowner, the relationship with the farm can become much more personal, with weekly produce boxes, community garden plots, the Friday night Gracie’s Farmstand, VIP access to the Gracie’s Farm Harvest Dinner Series and the simple pleasure of knowing where your food comes from.

The same sense of connection extends to Blue Sky’s horses and the Saving Gracie Equine Healing Foundation, where rescued and retired animals are given a permanent home. There are miles of trails to explore on horseback or on foot, and quiet places where wellness happens outside, beside a creek or among the aspens.

And then there is the extraordinary access that comes with having The Lodge at Blue Sky, Auberge Collection, right in your backyard.

One weekend might bring a visiting chef to WildKitchen, Guy Ritchie’s open air dining experience high in the mountains, where everyone gathers around one table and dinner is cooked over fire. Another might bring an intimate performance through the Auberge Concert Series, a visiting wellness expert, or a culinary residency from a chef whose restaurant you would normally travel across the country to experience.

That may be the real luxury of living at Blue Sky. You do not have to seek these things out. They come to you.

Over time, it creates a community of people drawn here for many of the same reasons. People who want to be outside. Who care about the land. Who appreciate exceptional food, design, wellness and adventure, but do not necessarily want any of it to feel overly polished or programmed.

Blue Sky is certainly beautiful. But living here is less about having a home with an extraordinary view and more about what that view encourages you to do.

Go outside. Get your hands dirty. Ride a horse. Stay for another glass of wine around the fire. Meet someone interesting. Try something you have never done before.

And perhaps, without really noticing it, live a little differently.
